Browser Choice - RSWeb
Internet Explorer is the preferred and is the most stable web browser for connection to the Restore secure server when using RSWeb. The use of any other web browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari may result in you being unable to connect to the server or functions within the portal being unavailable. Whilst Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft the browser remains available for use by anyone who has this installed.
Prior to login please add restore.co.uk to your Compatibility View Settings as detailed below if you are using an older version of Internet Explorer:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Clear all data from the address bar and enter www.Restore.co.uk into the address bar and press enter to go to the Restore website

Once in the Restore website select Tools from your menu bar (if you haven’t got this toolbar you will need to right click in the empty space between the address bar and the minimise, full screen and close buttons ( ) on the right hand size and left click on Menu from the list that is displayed to put a tick next to it:

From the dropdown Tools menu select Compatibility View Settings to open the following box; The website will already be populated in the Add field.
- Select Add to add the website to the box below then select Close.
The website has now been added and will run in compatibility mode, this ensures that all functions within the portal are available for use and will operate normally.
Alternatively if you are using Edge as your browser since upgrading to Windows 10 or 11 and have the Enterprise version of Edge installed please run Edge in compatibility mode.
How to enable IE mode on Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.
- Click the Settings and More (ellipsis) button on the top-right corner.
- Select the Settings option.
- Click on Default browser.
- Under the “Internet Explorer compatibility” section, turn on the “Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode” toggle switch. ...
